THICK AS BLOOD: 'Raising Hell' Video Available
September 11, 2009"Raising Hell", the new video from Miami, Florida's THICK AS BLOOD, can be viewed below.
Commented guitarist Randy Gonzalez: "For our 'Raising Hell' video, we decided to work with director Scott Hansen. Concept-wise, we went for something fun and crazy. Most bands in our genre always go for serious and evil videos so we decided to stray away from that. Filming the video was a blast, it was literally a party. Hopefully this shows everyone that THICK AS BLOOD is all about having a good time."
"Raising Hell" comes off THICK AS BLOOD's latest album, "Embrace", which was released on April 14 via Eulogy Recordings. The CD finds THICK AS BLOOD evolving into a much heavier, faster and more brutally honest band. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at the infamous Machine Shop (LAMB OF GOD, EVERY TIME I DIE) in Weehawken, New Jersey. Drums were recorded at Nuthouse Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey. The track "Decimator" musically highlights their thrash/heavy metal influences while at the same time lyrically touching on their feelings toward deceivers. "Misery Loves Company" incorporates a whole new melodic side of THICK AS BLOOD while still bringing forth a new level of intensity and also lyrically dealing with envy and how pathetic it can make someone. "Embrace" also includes a special surprise that showcases another musical side of THICK AS BLOOD but still keepin' it street.
Formed in 2004, THICK AS BLOOD started out as a seven-man team but recently trimmed down their roster to five, bringing out a more focused sound. They released their debut album, "Moment Of Truth", in 2007, and toured the States numerous times, sharing stages with the likes of MADBALL, TERROR, BLEEDING THROUGH and many others.
